Rave: Pixi Think Pink Magic Tink Tint

I had the awesome opportunity of meeting Tinkerbell in the flesh last year. Well, okay, it wasn't really THE Tinkerbell but rather a personified version of her over at Hongkong Disneyland. She is as adorable as her Disney cartoon counterpart :3

Who doesn't love Tinkerbell? My favorite product from the Green Beauty (April) box is the Pixi Think Pink Magic Tink Tint which (surprise, surprise!) is a collaboration between Disney and Pixi. It's part of the limited edition Pixi Glow Collection for Target:

Think happy thoughts and your lips will turn a delightful shade of pink! Pixi Magic Tink Tint is a gel crayon that turns a custom shade of pink on lips. This paraben-free formula has a moisturizing formula with a shiny finish and a burst of fresh peppermint taste.

India Travelogue: Jaipur (Day 2)

Oh my, I can't believe that it's been 2 months since my trip to India and I still haven't finished my travelogue! Anyway, seeing as I have some time now since I am on a two-week break from school (work is still ongoing though *weep*), I might as well write about my last day in Jaipur.

We stayed at the Jaipur Inn which was so kitschy cute and insanely homey. For the duration of our trip, we chose to stay at 3-star hotels and we weren't disappointed. My favorite would be (obviously) the Jaipur Inn because the room was huge. The downside? There weren't a lot of selections for breakfast since understandably, it is family-owned. The owner, though, was very warm and attended to our every need.

Review: VMV Hypoallergenics Illuminants Brilliant Finish 25 Powder Foundation

What a great 5 weeks! I just finished the first module of the Marketing Management Diploma course at DLS-CSB SPaCe, a college that offers continuing education for professionals. I had difficulty grasping some concepts at first because I don't have any marketing background, and it was a challenge to juggle 2 jobs plus school. I hope to be able to do better at the succeeding modules, though.

So here we are, a humble class of 19 students with our professor, Sir Jun Umali (President of Gardenia Philippines). Check out my good friend, Mara, beside me (in white).

What I like about SPaCe is that they handpick industry experts to teach the courses. In our case, Sir Jun Umali had extensive experience in marketing from various industries, his concepts were current, practical and very impressive! He was also very funny which made the class even more enjoyable :)

Anyway, before I delve into work again tomorrow (yes, work has unfortunately eaten up my weekends as well), let me tell you about my favorite powder foundation, I've tried several but I always go back to the VMV Hypoallergenics Illuminants Brilliant Finish 25 Powder Foundation

Review: Driclor Topical Antiperspirant

My first module for my Integrated Marketing Communications class at SPaCE is finally coming to an end. It's been a fast (and hazy) 4 weeks, plus I have a final paper due tomorrow. I'm taking a break from researching by squeezing in a little blog post.

One of the posts that has garnered so many consistent views and comments is my No Sweat: a Driclor Dupe? article. Clearly, a lot of people in the Philippines have been battling excess sweat and it seems they are all asking about Driclor, which I heard has been sold out for months.

So to help some people out, here's a quick review on Driclor which I've been using for almost 5 years. Take note that these are my observations, so depending on how much (or how little) you perspire/sweat, your results may be different from mine.

COMPOSITION: Driclor contains Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate USP 20% w/w (185 mg/mL) in alcohol.
INDICATIONS: Driclor is indicated for the treatment of excessive perspiration of the underarms, the hands and the feet.
Price: Php 440/20ml , Ph 884.25/60ml

Make Up Factory Blogger Launch (plus my brow makeover courtesy of their award-winning Eye Brow Intensifier)

There has been a lot of buzz about Make Up Factory as of late. If you've been following top beauty bloggers on Instagram, a lot of them have posted sneak peeks on Make Up Factory's products.

Conveniently located along High Street at The Fort, Make Up Factory now occupies the studio that was once Make Up For Ever. The same company that brought in Make Up For Ever, Brio One, is also the company behind Make Up Factory. The former is a purely French brand, while Make Up Factory is a brand whose roots stem from Germany (the land of Milka chocolate, yum yum!).

Make Up Factory’s head office is located just outside Munich, and distributes worldwide. Our creative team works closely with production, administration and sales to translate the latest international fashion trends into high-quality cosmetics for both pros and the everyday woman who looks for style and dependability---formulas and colors that will last all day, and can help her meet and express her many roles.
As a German brand, Make Up Factory does not believe in mass-producing low-quality products. We believe our customers deserve the best, and in the tradition of many well-known German cars---Mercedes Benz, BMW, Volkswagen---we put performance, quality, and safety first. Every product that leaves our doors has gone through laboratory and consumer testing, and meets European Union standards (one of the strictest in the world).
Last Tuesday, ARC Public Relations held an intimate blogger launch at the Make Up Factory boutique/studio. This is what happens when you unleash a bunch of beauty bloggers in a room full of makeup -- they go crazy! :)

Review: KJI & Co. Lip Stayss in Seductress

You know how much I love lip tints during summer, I even reviewed several a few years back (click here and here). Recently, I included the KJI & Co. Lip Stayss in Seductress in my fave summer picks and I thought it was due time for a more in-depth review. Please note that this product was purchased using my own money.

They last through drinks or greasy meals and even heal, hydrate and moisturise your lips at the same time. Made of 100% natural quick drying liquid, you will never feel you have it on.

Review: Snoe Hyperfunction Fond de Teint + Serum in X0 (Vanilla Creme)

In an effort to simplify my makeup routine, I decided to purchase the Snoe Hyperfunction Fond de Teint + Serum late last year. My usual routine after washing is to apply a toner, apply moisturising gel, then liquid foundation with SPF and then finally set everything with powder. Laziness sometimes kicks in and I wished for a 2-in-1 product that could moisturise and provide coverage.

Snoe Premium Cosmetics HyperFunction Fond de Teint + Serum is a lightweight formula that gives skin perfect coverage, skin healing ingredients, antioxidants and broad-spectrum sun protection. This feel-good formula is extra emollient to instantly “melt” into skin and give it a fresh, healthy glow. Over time, it also helps replenish and strengthen skin.

VMV Hypoallergenics Subtle Shine Lipstick in Strawberry Fields

Late last year, I was finally able to get my hands on the elusive VMV Hypoallergenics Subtle Shine Lipstick in Strawberry Fields. I've been eyeing it for months and it was always sold out at the VMV boutiques I frequent. Good thing my ever reliable SA in SM Makati (Hi Anavic!) alerted me that there were a few pieces in stock, and they were also on sale, too. Yay!

Brushing up on the classics. This rich, satiny, silky-shine lipstick is timeless beauty of a higher skintelligence.
100% Dye-Free. 100% Free of Irritating Waxes (including Beeswax and its cross-reactors), Phthalates, Parabens + Preservatives.
100% Free of All-Types-Of-Fragrance.
With titanium dioxide + iron oxide pigments for additional sun protection.
With green tea for antioxidant benefits plus virgin coconut oil for intensive moisturization.
Besides preventing chapping + other irritations, all this safety prevents darkening of the lips and acne/rashes around the mouth and chin.

Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve

Confession: Hand washing is very important to me. I am not a fan of using gel hand sanitizers as I have a feeling that the germs and bacteria are still "sitting" on my skin. I would rather use a good ol' bar of soap and actually wash them away.

That said, I am a chronic washer. And applying a good hand lotion or creme is a must. I always one in my bag and my friends are starting to call me "Mommy" because I have anything and everything: band-aids, safety pins, a toothbrush, tissue, name it, I've got it. I always like to be prepared.

Anyway, I was running out of my Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream and thought of looking for an alternative that is readily available in Manila. I chanced upon Kiehl's and the SA recommended their Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve. I wasn't too keen on using something called a "salve" because I have rather unpleasant notions about it, but I nodded anyway and told myself I should try it even just once.

Formulated for the driest, most active hands, this heavy–duty moisture treatment is a thick, rich formula offering all–day care and protection. Our blend of select ingredients allows skin to actually draw and absorb water from the air, forming a "glove–like" protective barrier against moisture loss.
This formula, which contains a blend of botanical oils as well as natural wax derived from Olive Oil, further soothes, moisturizes and conditions skin. This most effective preparation helps protect against and repair the appearance of severe dryness caused by heavy industrial work, manual labor, neglect, or exposure to harsh elements.

Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme: A light touch of sensuality

Inspired by the chic simplicity and universality of the pique polo shirt, Lacoste celebrates summer with their latest release: the crisp and sensual Eau de Lacoste.

The fragrance opens with sparkling freshness of white pineapple, mandarin and bergamot. Followed by middle notes of orange flower, sambac Jasmine and combined with the unique texture of pineapple flower to deliver a delicately clean and naturally feminine purity. Finally, it dries down with the sensual notes of sandalwood and vanilla enveloped with vetyver and peru balsam.
The scent is neither heavy nor overly sexy; I find it to be rather creamy, floral and a tad fruity. It lasts hours on me and leaves a sexy olfactory trail when lightly spritzed on my hair. I can imagine myself wearing a crisp white cottony sun dress with my curls resting playfully past my shoulders, walking in the park on a cool and windy Saturday. It is great as an everyday scent and yet it is also sensual and intriguing enough to be worn on date nights.

Green Beauty: The Glamourbox April Box

It's only been a month since I joined the Glamourbox team, and there is still so much to learn, so much work to do and so little time to do it! Apart from working, I decided to take another short course in Integrated Marketing Communications at SPaCE in DLSU-CSB. So yes, I'm keeping myself busy, thankyouverymuch.

Anyway, finally our April box is out! Lemme share with you the contents of this month's Earth-inspired beauty box:
