Kris Kringle (also entitled: I think my Mommy is a serial killer)

We all had our Kris Kringle last week before the most awaited Christmas break. Since there were technically only two of us who came from corporate offices with prior Kris Kringle experiences, we had to devise a plan and create mechanics for our first ever company Kris Kringle. Thank you Krissy and Marco for helping out :)

The gist is: there were 3 gift themes in total (one per week) with a budget of Php 50/gift then a major gift by the 4th week with a minimum budget of Php 500. The big reveal was to happen on the last working day before Christmas. To spice things up, there will be corresponding consequences and rewards if you incorrectly or correctly guess who your "Mommy" is.

Most of our co-workers felt that the initial mechanics were "far too complicated", in the end everyone just decided not to follow the rules. Heh.

Anyway, for the past 2 weeks til the last day of work I've been complaining incessantly because although I've been very responsible with giving my weekly gifts to my "Baby", my "Mommy" was so kuripot and only put 1 gift for me in the designated Kris Kringle box (which was stationed in my cubicle, FYI). So by the last day I was really, really whining out loud to the point that my "Mommy" handed me my 3 remaining gifts and said: "Okay I'm your Mommy, now open the damn gifts!" Haha, yay. My wish was granted.

I don't have proof yet...but I think my "Mommy" is a serial killer.
FIRST THEME: Something naughty

This made me laugh as I was caught off-guard! I sorta expected something naughtier but then again, what other naughty stuff can you buy for Php 50?

SECOND THEME: Something shiny

My reaction was priceless -- I really liked my gift! I couldn't wait to wear it!

I love skulls, in case you've forgotten. Good thing my "Mommy" was smart and did a little research :D

THIRD THEME: Something that reminds you of Christmas

Whee a candy cane! It was broken though and I gave it to my nephew when I got home.

My wishlist included a translucent powder and/or a costume for my little man, Pnut. Can you guess what I got? *wide smile*

what ees dees...

I got a Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover! How timely because I've already hit pan on my current one. I am so lucky that my Kris Kringle Mommy is....

the aftermath (my messy desk)

...Anne Gomez, our copywriter whom I call as our resident "Daria". Take note that we revealed our identities before the gift opening, yes we have low E.Q.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts as my laptop's trackpad is awaiting repair. We had to order parts from Singapore which should arrive within the next 2 months. So In the meantime, I'm trying to make do with a temporary laptop.

  1. parang ang daming balot nun MM powder...pero at least you get what you wish for!!! Happy Holidays Kira ^_~

    1. Happy Holidays to you too!

Anne wrapped it in such a way where the box gets smaller and smaller til you reach the actual gift :)

  2. I love the serial killer touch to Anne's anonymous gifts! :)) Kira...would you like to play a game? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

    1. Hahahaha! "Saw" lang ang peg! Had no idea it was Anne, but I was so glad she was my Mommy. Kahit tamad ang pagkabalot, effort naman yung actual gifts :D

  3. Haha! Happy New Year, Kira! :)

If you look at your 3rd pic, that gift actually looks pretty good as a bib necklace. Talk about fashion statement! :D

    1. Hahahaha! You're right, I could layer it over my other fringe necklaces. Nice idea, Vivi :P

Happy New Year to you too!
