Kalye Juan by City Delivery

I was stuck at home during last week's very long weekend. Don't get me wrong, I actually did enjoy sleeping long hours, catching up on blog backlogs and just being a couch potato watching all the scary movies on cable. Long weekends are also the perfect time to bond with the family and pets, and if you read my previous entries, you know that I took Pnut out for Halloween and he truly enjoyed it.

Another way to bond with family and loved ones is over food, and this time we were invited to try out City Delivery. City Delivery is a food delivery service that caters to mid-range and upscale restaurants within the metro. I've heard of it before but never got around to actually ordering anything. This time was as good a time as any.

We were craving for Pinoy food so we decided to order from Kalye Juan. After registering on http://www.citydelivery.ph/, we submitted our orders and scheduled the delivery for November 5 (Monday), 8pm. The good thing about City Delivery's service is that you can order days in advance, so convenient for parties, business meetings, etc.!

On the day itself, we felt so hungry waiting for our food to arrive (oh 8pm, please come faster!). Then before we knew it, we heard a familiar buzzer and looked out the window -- our City Delivery guy has arrived! And 30 minutes early, too! Hooray!

Although we insisted on bringing the food to the 2nd floor ourselves, Jojo offered to deliver the food personally. And Komiki couldn't wait for him to open his bag full of goodies!

Tortalong
Lumpiang Sariwa
Spicy Gambas
Tokwa't Baboy
The food was delivered warm and in excellent condition -- no spills, leaks, or flimsy packaging. The Gambas, I have to say, was soo spicy my sister loved it! My Mom on the other hand, liked the Tortalong (say it 5 times, it's so funny :P) and Lumpiang Sariwa. We had a hearty dinner that night, thanks for City Deliver's prompt food delivery service :)

I, on the other hand, was just too happy for words with the Tibok-Tibok (a Kapampangan version of Maja Blanca). Mmmm....

Tibok-Tibok
Mango + Sago Pannacotta
my sister's lovely happy face :P
City Delivery services major cities throughout the metro and includes a comprehensive list of partner restaurants. I would recommend this food delivery service for any occasion whether you're celebrating an event, impressing a girl with your "cooking skillz" or you simply want to dine in the comforts of your own home. Please take note that they do charge a separate delivery free with your order.

Promo: They're slashing off 50% on delivery charges for the whole month of November!
