Reactivate your curls with TIGI Bed Head Foxy Curls Contour Cream

I've been enjoying my permed hair since December, so much so that I swore several times that I will never go back to straight hair (okay, I hope I don't eat my words again, haha!). It's been 3 months since my first perm, and my "greatest fear" is that day when I'd have to endure another 4 hours at the salon to have my perms redone. People say perms should last for only about 6 months, I'm halfway there and I think I'm getting separation anxiety :(

Anyway, I've stopped using my mousse last January because my hair would feel crunchy and it didn't really do anything to help ease the frizzies. I then settled for a curl defrizzant which was okay to use, but a bit lacking in the hold department. I knew what I wanted -- frizz-free and bouncy curls that would last the whole day.

One of our clients (I work for Outsmark) is TIGI Bed Head and when they asked me if I would be interested in trying out any Bed Head product, I chose Foxy Curls right away without batting an eyelash.

I was a bit hesitant to use it at first since my hair care routine has been pretty low-maintenance. I kept asking myself, "Is this product really going to give me bodacious curls? Or would this be another flop just like the several other products that I got at the salon?" But since I've been loving Urban Antidotes Resurrection, I had high hopes that Foxy Curls might work for me, too.

And so test it I did. But before anything else, lemme just tell you that the packaging is uber gorgey. Anyone who loves purple (or standout colors for that matter) will agree. The pump packaging is so convenient and hygienic (pots or tubs are just plain messy).

How to use:

I only use this much, it's not even half a pump! It may be expensive but it's so economical to use. When my hair is 70% dry, I pump a small amount of Foxy Curls and rub my palms together. Then I scrunch my curls upward, making sure that I do this several times so the product transfers to my hair. Then I just leave my curls to dry and/or scrunch in between. Btw, this gel-cream is quite sticky so I recommend washing your hands afterwards.

my hair's so long na!
And et voila! Soft, piecey and bouncy curls! No crunchiness or stiffness, no product build up or flakes, plus Foxy Curls adds a nice sheen to the hair. Alex even mentioned several times that my hair is shinier and kept badgering me about what product I've been using :)

notice the sheen? PS: I'm wearing my VMV Lipstick in Giddy in this photo. Nice no?

My curls also last til the next day, even when I sleep on it they are still fresh and bouncy when I wake up. Even my curly-haired Mom likes it, too (she had the traditional perm, FYI). Say hello to my Mom's doggie, Missy, who makes a cameo in this photo :)

Overall I really love Bed Head Foxy Curls! Aside from the sweet fruity scent (think Skittles!), I really like the soft hold and the way it makes my curls sooo incredibly bouncy. I would totally recommend this to all my curly-haired readers/friends. Please note that this works better when used sparingly on damp hair, preferably applied to curls via a scrunching motion. Not sure how it would fare on wavy or straight tresses (it is called Foxy Curls for a reason), but I assume the results wouldn't be as stellar as mine.

  1. ganda nga ng lipsticK! wish i have curly hair! i have straight, very fine, very oily, and very bagsak na hair. did i mention very oily? :(

    1. Thanks! :) My sister din has straight, fine hair that is sometimes oily. Kaya before she goes to bed she applies powder to her scalp so it's not oily when she wakes up the next day. Do you do that as well?

  2. i dont do it. talaga? wat kind of powder? di b nakakadandruff yun?

    1. Just ordinary Johnson's Baby Powder. And she also rinses her hair with calamansi once every two weeks to get rid of product buildup or excess oils. She's been doing it for years :)

    2. uy this is the first time i've heard of that suggestion. will try it and let you know what happens (magnanakaw na ako ng clamansi sa kapitbahay, tatlo ang puno niya eh. bwahahahha [evil laugh])

      thanks ah!

    3. You're welcome! Let me know how it works for you ha! :D Natawa ako sa evil laugh lolz :D
