Freeway x Lisa Macuja Collection

I totally had to share the news when I received this in my inbox. Just like every little girl, I wanted to become a ballerina, too! I took classes for several years, but wasn't able to pursue it full-time. But, admittedly, I still have a penchant for pink, tutus and ballerina-themed clothing. So, this new collection from Freeway is perfect! Am rushing to Freeway this weekend and am getting my grubby hands on this limited edition collection, and so should you! :)

Freeway loves Art. With its well-loved National Artist Collectors’ Series, the brand has already established its name in celebrating various forms of Art by bringing creative fusion of fashion and works of art of our National Artists—literature, visual art and fashion design.

And this time, Freeway embraces another form of art that brought pride to the country, Ballet.  Freeway pays tribute to Philippines’ prima ballerina, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. Lisa is set to ease into retirement within the period of three years and will dance her last full-length “Swan Song Series” in a series of performances. The production kicked off last year with “Swan Lake” and “Romeo and Juliet”. The entire series will unfold in the next two to three years.

To support this significant event, Freeway created a special edition “Swan Song Series” sublimation tee- shirt that immortalizes the signature ballets of Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. This limited edition collection is now available in all Freeway stores nationwide.

  1. Naku, I myself was in ballet school during grade school days but just didn't push through. The folks were the ones who wanted it for me and I just wanted something else.

Let's support Freeway for this great feat--- being able to feature National Artists. :) thanks for sharing Kira.

    1. And why were you sent to the bad girl's corner? Haha. I was told I was too lanky once. But I have 2 relatives who are prima ballerinas (one of which was purported to be next in line to Lisa Macuja), so you can imagine my jealousy!
