Celeteque DermoScience+ Matte Moisturizer with SPF 30

You've probably spotted the new Celeteque Dermoscience+ at the stores already. The one product that caught my eye, quite predictably, is the SPF 30 which is a step up from their previous SPF 15 moisturizer. Curious about this sunscreen, too? Here's a quick rundown of its good and not-so good points:

What I like:

  • has a higher broad spectrum SPF rating
  • dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic
  • non-greasy and non-reflective, though still has a little bit of sheen to it when applied
  • easy to spread
  • easily absorbed by the skin
  • feels lightweight
  • mild scent reminds me of the beach (read: smells like typical sunscreen)
  • can be used as a good base for powdered makeup
  • handy and practical tube packaging
  • expiration date is stamped on the tube itself
  • affordable price -- only Php 230!

What I don't like:

  • can leave a slight whitish cast for darker-skinned girls
  • can look streaky if not blended well
  • it's not entirely matte, still has a teeny bit of sheen to it

I applied a bit to my hand and blended well
can you see the slight whitish cast?
For those who desire a broad spectrum sunscreen that won't put a dent in your wallet, I really recommend this Matte Moisturizer SPF 30. It is an effective and yet affordable sunscreen which is proudly hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. You can't go wrong with the price, it's only Php 230 per 50ml tube.

The new Celeteque DermoScience+ Matte Moisturizer with SPF 30 is available at all SM Dept. Store and Watsons.

  2. @Clair Ching: The nice thing about the Celeteque sunblock is it offers UVA and UVB protection. I would really suggest starting with this since it's more affordable :)

    1. Hi! Yes whether your skin is oily, dry or combination you still need to protect your skin from the sun. I would recommend choosing a non-greasy, lightweight sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 :) Try Celeteque Celeteque DermoScience+ Matte Moisturizer with SPF 30 or any sunblock gel :)
