Celeteque Facial Moisturizer SPF 15

I've been a fan of Celeteque and their no-frills hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic skin care line.Their water-based moisturizer has been a staple on my vanity table for years before I decided to switch to organic and natural alternatives. Celeteque works well with my combination skin -- no breakouts, oiliness or allergies so far!

Naturally, when they released their facial moisturizer with SPF 15, I was intrigued. As the shopgirls in different malls could not tell me exactly if this was in gel or cream form, I decided to take the plunge and buy 4 boxes anyway (1 for me and 3 for my Dad).

Celeteque Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 combines optimum hydration and protection to help prevent the skin from dryness and damage from daily sun exposure.

Price: Php 150/50ml
A quick look at the ingredients list shows that it does not contain any oily ingredients (such as jojoba oil, shea butter, etc.) but it does contain Dimethicone which is a silicone ingredient. Much to my dismay, it wasn't in gel form (tough luck) BUT the lotion consistency is light and non-greasy.

What I like:

  • feels light on the face
  • non-greasy and non-reflective
  • is absorbed by the skin upon application
  • no white cast or streaks
  • easy to apply (no tugging of facial skin)
  • readily available in malls
  • non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic (I had no adverse reactions)
  • less wastage since opening is so small
  • affordable at only Php 150/50ml tube

What I don't like:

  • it is obviously not chemical-free
  • box says it's fragrance free but it does have a light, typical lotion scent
  • not for people allergic to dimethicone or silicone ingredients
  • wish it came in a larger tube with a higher SPF rating

For those looking for an oil-free and gentle sunblock, I think that this is worth a shot. Celeteque is known for creating good skin care products and I like the fact that it is so affordable at only Php 150. The cheap price means that I can apply this generously without feeling guilty. Don't forget to protect your ears and nape as well! :)

  2. Same with you, Celeteque is my go-to brand for skincare when I don't have an organic alternative. Thanks for the review! :D

  3. thank you .. I had the very same question if the moisturizer with SPF comes in gel form or lotion. The sales lady does not have any clue of the bottle's content. :(
